UNIC presents its training strategies to the Italian Ministry of Education

What the sector has already accomplished in the recent past. And the training strategies aimed at fostering dialogue between schools and businesses. Fulvia Bacchi, general manager of UNIC – Concerie Italiane, discussed these topics on July 22 with Giuseppe Valditara, head of the Ministry of Education and Merit. “We hope this dialogue will lead to new synergies and shared tools to support career guidance and training,” commented Bacchi. “Among our objectives, a key one remains offering young people concrete opportunities for study and work in a sector like tanning. It is a sector rich in expertise, creativity, and professional fulfillment. At the same time, we want to help ensure that companies have access to the skilled professionals they need.”
The topics of the meeting
UNIC presented to Valditara the educational initiatives it has been promoting for years now. These range from master’s programs to collaborations with academies, fashion institutes, and universities, as well as educational tools aimed at elementary and middle school students, such as Le Belle Lettere della Pelle and Amici per la Pelle. These projects sparked the minister’s interest and curiosity, and he expressed his agreement on the importance of engaging students from the earliest stages of their education. The meeting also highlighted the importance of involving students’ families so that young people can make even more informed choices about their educational paths. In this regard as well, UNIC presented to Valditara all the projects it supports: from advanced technical education to career guidance activities for teachers through “Tanning Orienteering.”
