Con la pubblicazione dell’atto delegato del 13 luglio, la Commissione Europea conferma l’esclusione della pelle bovina a ogni stadio di lavorazione dal Regolamento anti Deforestazione (EUDR). La proposta, avanzata in bozza lo scorso 4 maggio, è stata sopposta a consultazione pubblica fino al primo giugno. Si attende, ora, un periodo di esame di due mesi. Se dall’Europarlamento non saranno sollevate obiezioni entro il termine del 13 settembre, il regolamento EUDR sarà pubblicato in Gazzetta Ufficiale dell’Unione Europea. Ed entrerà in vigore, come lungamente auspicato da UNIC – Concerie Italiane e Cotance, senza le pelli bovine nel campo di applicazione.
